"you can't drink history or reputation, as these things are; what's in the glass is what matters most. These releases from Wantirna Estate prove that the winery has quality all sewn up, too."

Campbell's assessment of the wines is as follows:
2009 Isabella Chardonnay - "a couple of years in a cool dark place, after which it will be superb."

of the 2009 Lily Pinot Noir he says "satiny and delicious right now, though going on track record it will age well"

and of the 2008 Amelia Cabernet Merlot "its sense of both balance and style is exceptional. It has length, ripe tannins, refreshing acidity and class. I was sad when the bottle was empty"

2008 Wantirna Estate Amelia Cabernet Merlot

This has a classic cabernet aroma of cassis and blackberry, deep and alluring, and is full bodied, elegant and smoothly textured. There's an abundance of very fine-grained, soft tannins and its seamlessness gives a very natural feel
